YURIKO KOTANI (WIP)

Winner of the BBC New Comedy Award and Time Out’s One to Watch, UK-based Japanese comedian Yuriko Kotani is going to tell stories of her experiences and thoughts as a work in progress in her "second language".

As seen on Russell Howard's Stand Up Central, Pls Like (BBC3), Paul Hollywood Eats Japan (Channel 4) and Mandy series 2 (BBC2).

About the artist: Yuriko Kotani is a UK-based Japanese comedian, who began performing stand-up in 2014. She was named as ‘one to watch’ by Time Out and won the BBC New Comedy Award in 2015. She appeared on Russell Howard’s Stand Up Central, in BBC Three’s Pls Like, CBBC's The Dog Ate My Homework, Channel 4’s Big Juice (online), Paul Hollywood Eats Japan, Soho Theatre’s online play The Boss of it All, Channel 4’s The Person Behind the Celebrity (online), and BBC 2’s Mandy Series 2.

On radio she has guested on The Comedy Club (BBC Radio 4 Extra), BBC World Service's The Arts Hour International New Year Comedy Celebration, The Verb (BBC Radio 3), Loose Ends (BBC Radio 4) and Tudur Owen: United Nations of Anglesey (BBC Radio 4).
